Nepal Accessibility School on IG & Digital Rights
Nepal Accessibility School on IG & Digital Rights is calling for applications to participate in a fully-funded Leadership Training on Internet Governance for Persons with Disability in Nepal.
This two-day workshop, organized jointly with Internet Society Accessibility Standing Group, aims to empower individuals with disabilities to become global leaders in advocating for digital rights and fostering an inclusive Internet governance landscape in Nepal and beyond.
Training Program Highlights
The program will cover key topics such as:
- Accessibility
- Privacy and cybersecurity
- Opportunities in Internet Governance
- Nepal’s digital ecosystem
- The role of individuals with disabilities in shaping internet governance policies
Key Dates
- Application Period: 28 October - 8 November, 2024
- Result Announcement: 10 November 2024
Evaluation Criteria Priorities
- Persons with Disability, working or aspiring to work on tech or digital rights for accessibility.
- Persons aged between 18-45 years old are preferred.
- Applicants are expected to be able to communicate in basic English as we are aiming to foster global leaders.
Engagement Requirements of Fellows
- Selected candidates are required to complete Internet Society’s course on digital accessibility prior to in-person training. Learning @ Internet Society empowers professionals with the knowledge you need to apply new skills, advance in your careers, and become Internet champions.
- Selected candidates are required to submit a report post-training. The report may be in written, audio, or video format.
